Mass State Police troopers found a female hanging onto a railing on Memorial Drive in Cambridge at the Charles River.
Cambridge Fire responded along with the Mass State Police Marine unit.
Firefighters were able to pull the female up to the roadway out of the water.
She was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation.
