Millbury firefighters we called to a report of a house fire on Upton Street around noontime on Tuesday April 25th. Thick black smoke could be seen in the distance by responding crews. There was heavy fire showing on arrival between two wood frame houses.
Mutual aid was called right away. Millbury crews used big lines to darken down the heavy fire outside. The fire had already made its way thru the two houses. At one point all members were pulled out of the structures until a ladder pipe could be put into operation.
The skies opened up as the fire was being brought under control.
