August 30th- The Worcester Fire Department held a promotional ceremony at City Hall. There were three promotions. Firefighter Will Mosley was promoted to Lieutenant. Lieutenant Terrence Boudin was promoted to Captain. Captain Gary Fleischer was promoted to District Chief. District Chief Fleischer will be in charge of Special Operations.
Prior to the promotions commendations were presented to members of Ladder 3, Group 3 for a rescue made at a 2nd alarm fire on Grosvenor Street a few nights prior. Lt Bill Dowd along with Firefighters Ronald Wylie and Dan Gagne received commendations for their heroic efforts rescuing a victim from the roof of the building.
