Group 2 firefighters from Worcester responded to this 2 alarm fire around 3am on Uxbridge Street in the Burncoat section of the city. Engine 8 was first due. Capt Fleischer reported heavy fire coming from the occupied residence. Companies made two rescues. As of 6:30 news media is reporting one fatality and another life threatening injuries. The fire also extended to another occupied wood frame dwelling.
