December 8th 2017 Rutland Firefighters were called to Putnam Services at 549 East County Road for a report of a building fire.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke and fire coming from a metal clad building used to house a kiln to dry firewood.
Crews mounted an aggressive exterior attack while machinery was used to pull apart the walls and roof. Numerous tankers from the area were called in to shuttle water to the fire.
