Leicester firefighters were called to the area of 322 Rawson Street for a report of a garage on fire.
Companies had smoke and fire showing on arrival from the metal clad 1 story garage that was about 30x50.
A second alarm was called as this location is outside of the towns hydrant district.
Tankers from surrounding towns were called in as Engine 2 worked to secure a water supply down the street at the bridge.
