This afternoon Leicester Firefighters were called to Pleasant Street for a report of a building fire. Companies arrived to find the back yard and rear deck on fire at the house at the corner of Pleasant Street and Peter Salem Road.
Two lines were run to knock down the trash can that was on fire on the deck and the grass in the back yard. Some damage was done to some siding which melted from the heat.
Firefighters were able to stop the fire from communicating to the inside of the house.
Leicester firefighters made a great stop as this fire occurred during the red flag warnings today.
