Here is a small gallery of images I captured on Sunday August 27th in the Bronx NYC. Affectionately referred to by some as the Boogie Down Bronx.

I was invited by my good friend Nate DeMarse of 49 truck to come down and celebrate his last tour as a New York City fireman. This particular day was also the last for Lt Chuck Johnson.

I've known Nate for a very long time and there was no way I was going to miss his last tour.

I love doing these kinds of shoots. Unfortunately as a fire photographer most of the work we do is on the worst day of peoples lives as property and sometimes lives are lost.

Photographing firefighters last tours is so refreshing and this one was no exception.

It was great to see so many of Nate's peers come and celebrate his last day with him.

It was a busy day and it went by quickly.

I can't thank Nate and his crew at "The House On The Hill" for allowing me to document his last tour and for the tremendous hospitality.

I can't wait to do my next last tour shoot.

And don't forget.... Take the photo! People come and go, assignments change, people pass on. In the end you'll always have the photos to look back on.....
