On Saturday May 21st I had the honor of attending the plaque dedication for the Telephone Company Exchange Building Fire which occurred in 1975. I also helped document this event for the Fire Bell Club of NY.

It was a great ceremony. Retired firefighter Daniel Noonan gave a great detailed account of the fire.

FDNY put the whole ceremony on their youtube channel here https://youtu.be/LdmXRrUJ7Es

Give it a watch. It is an amazing story.

Here is some detail on the fire itself. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1975_New_York_Telephone_exchange_fire

The fire bell club did a great putting this event together. I am proud to be a member!
