March 29th- Charlton Firefighters were called to Griffin Road shortly after midnight for a report of a building fire in a commercial occupancy. Police arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the metal clad garage.

Fire fighters arrived to find heavy fire inside the garage which stored trucks and other hazardous materials. The bay doors were cut open to help provide access and and help vent the building.

While there was an available hydrant down on route 20 crews set up a tanker shuttle.

The fire reached 4 alarms bringing in mutual aid from all over the area as well as the Department of Fire Services Incident Support Unit, Incident Rehab Unit. A tier 1 was also called for the state hazmat team to assist in air quality monitoring at the fire scene.
