9/4/15- Worcester firefighters were called to Columbia Street this morning for a report of a structure fire.
As soon as companies signed on the air they could see smoke in the distance. As companies were arriving they found all three floors of rear porches fully involved and smoke issuing out of the eves.
A second alarm was quickly called for. Companies made an aggressive attack and had all visible fire knocked down within 15 minutes of arriving.
The rear porches had all collapsed during the fire.
One of the residents were able to recover their animals alive and well.
