Worcester Firefighters responded to 56 Florence Street just after 2pm for a report of a fire in the building.
Companies called the working fire as soon as they arrived.
A second alarm was sounded. The second alarm companies were told to stage.
It was determined the fire had been quickly knocked down.
There were no injuries reported.
This fire occurred just after the Worcester Saint Patrick's day parade.
The parade route was only two blocks away. Fortunately the parade had already passed thru the area and roads were open.
