Auburn, MA- Firefighters were called to the Chester Tuttle Post on Bancroft Street on Friday March 15th for a report of a fire in the kitchen. The establishment was open for their Friday fish fry, which is always well attended. Tonight, was no different. There were a lot of patrons in attendance. An off duty firefighter helped to evacuate everyone.

Once firefighters arrived they found smoke showing from the building. The fire had a head start before everyone had arrived. They had heavy fire in the attic. At that point a decision was made to evacuate the building.

The fire would go to 3 alarms bringing in crews from all over Southern Worcester County as well as a mutual aid response from Worcester.

There is a motorcycle ride/ fundraiser planned by Auburn Fire Rescue May 19th
