Spencer emergency crews responded to Jolicoeur Avenue for a report of a car into the water at Cranberry Meadow Pond. It was reported as the occupants still inside. When crews arrived they found a bystander remove the elderly male and female from the vehicle.

A Fire District 7 dive team was called in to assist the tow company in removal of the vehicle that was completely submerged in the water. The operators said there was a problem with the brakes. They were rescued by a man who was fortunate enough to be in a row boat fishing on the lake at the time of the mishap. The occupants were not injured.
