Firefighters responded to a building fire at the corner of North and Prescott Streets.
Companies arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the building.
Companies made an interior attack, however the fire had a head start in the balloon frame construction building and the decision was made to pull everyone out of the building as conditions deteriorated.
Master streams and large handline were put into operation.
