Here are some images of the Worcester Guns and Hoses and EMS hockey benefit taken Saturday April 11th.
The game was held before the Worcester Sharks/ Providence Bruins game. This years game was a benefit for Ed Ramstrom. A retired U-Mass Deputy Chief. Ed was a well respected long time employee who touched lots of lives during his time in ems. Ed was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident last fall.
The teams this year consisted of people from police, fire and ems that formed two squads. They all sported number 35 which was Ed's old number. This is the first installment of photos.
I shot about 800 photos between both games saturday. I'm used to shooting fire scenes and accidents so unfortunately photographing a hockey game can be difficult between lighting and following the action with shutter speeds. The photos didn't come out as good as I hoped but they didn't come out too bad.
This first installment is periods 1 and 2. I still have to work on the third period still but wanted to get some up for now. The pics from the Sharks/ Bruins game will be in a separate gallery.
Be sure to check back in a few days for third period action!
All photos are available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from this gallery will be donated to Ed.
Thanks for looking and thanks to my friends at Worcester Fire, Worcester Police and Worcester EMS for inviting me to photograph this event.
